Matalan – Click and Collect
Implementing a key strand of their Omnichannel Strategy
Matalan, with 217 UK stores wanted to implement Click and Collect to save money for their cost-conscious customer, generate store footfall as well as increasing their online sales by offering a wide range of services. We were emgaged to run the project, ascertaining both how this could be implemented in store and online. Importantly we had to design a solution that fitted their logistical set up and delivered a fully supported solution for the customer at every step. The project consisted of ;
– Business and technical specification for the preferred solution
– Full end to end project management to ensure successful delivery for pre-peak trading
– Implementation of a Scottish trial pre-peak trading in 2012 followed by full UK rollout in early 2013
Rolled out to all 217 stores on time this has resulted in a massive change in consumer ordering behaviour, with 50% of orders utilising this service.
